Asus has just released the new Zenfone 3 Zoom phone internationally. The smartphone focuses on photography and is priced at $329 – a lower price than previously announced.

Design and Display

Asus doesn’t emphasizes on design much, which is evident in the ZenFone 3 Zoom. The front looks plain with 3 buttons at the bottom and the earpiece, sensors and the front camera at the top.

ZenFone 3 Zoom features a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED screen with a 401 PPI pixel density. A Gorilla Glass 5 on the front protects the display. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back, sitting just under the flash.

Internals and Storage

ZenFone 3 Zoom sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, with 4 GB RAM and three different storage variants – 32/64/128 GB. A microSD card slot is included for the 32 GB variant.

The OS which is Android 6.0 Marshmallow seems pretty outdated for a phone coming out in 2017. Other than that, ZenFone 3 Zoom is a dual SIM phone by default but only one SIM card can connect to 3G/4G LTE service at a time.
